Extracted a tooth for da very 1st time.=>

I did extraction and i gave injection too^^

Actually many people did it but i went back home during my last posting so i din get to do it.

Ok it was super scary ok i came without preparing(mentally & physically) n it was my turn so sir asked me to extract a cervical abraded tooth.(there u kno the upper portion of ur tooth crown got a bit of hole there but it is not a decay, it happens if u brush ur teeth too vigorously)

Then he sent one intern to guide me. T_T

My patient was a 71 yr old man without(thank god) any medical problems. No hypertension no diabetes. Not bad eh.

So when i push da tip of the needle planning to slowly inject him da needle went in lk 2cm deep. T______T

Now i know oral mucosa is this soft. No wonder we called it soft tissues.^^"

Sigh so pitiful i hate being poke by a needle it is soooooo much more painful than mosquito bite ok. Doctors always bluff ppl one.(to me it is painful la)

Den after injecting i have to aspirate but i couldn't do it with one hand.(my 1st time ok im not expert,even the intern cant only my sir can) So the needle kinda shake shake abit OMG kesian my patient.

Then i had to inject at another site near the palate n my patient started screaming!!! n he was shaking his head right n left what if da needle break!!! I got scared n i pulled da needle out n let da intern inject for me. I was too scared.wuuu~ i kesian my patient.

Den is time to hold da forcep as apically as possible(near to the root) n extract it.

Okay 3rd year student is supposed to extract only mobile tooth but i duno duno duno why my sir gave me this case. It wasn't mobile at all.

So i supported the bone with my fingers of the other hand n started extracting. I can feel the roots moving.(2 roots, it was a premolar)

I couldn't grab it properly it was reli a lot harder than i thought it was.

N finally it came out but i fractured one of da root. T_____T

Cz i wasn't holding da forcep in a parellel direction to the tooth.

N lastly the intern took da fractured root out for me.

The whole process took around 10 mins.

Fuiyoh.

I know i sound very lousy here but sir already told me all my mistakes n im more confident now. Today i guided saeah somemore. Must read more bout it cz there are more more more to come.
